June 5–6

"The Sea Rages, Obzor Dances" Festival

For yet another year, Obzor will become the beating heart of Bulgarian culture, thanks to the “The Sea Rages, Obzor Dances” festival. The event, which aims to showcase the richness and diversity of Bulgarian folklore, will take place on June 5–6. For two consecutive days, children’s and youth groups, as well as adult ensembles, will make our hearts beat to the rhythm of folklore. The streets will come alive, colored by the embroidery of colorful traditional costumes, and participants from all corners of Bulgaria will join hands in lively folk dances.

The Festival of the Town of Obzor

On the day when herbs possess their greatest healing power, Obzor celebrates its festival. Traditionally, on June 24, a series of festive events are organized to mark Midsummer’s Day.

Dog Show

Whether you’re a dog owner or simply an animal lover, we’re sure you won’t be able to resist the charm of these four-legged competitors. You can see hundreds of purebred dogs, including rare breeds. The International Dog Show, organized under the auspices of the world’s largest organization in the industry, will take place in Obzor at the end of June. For the second consecutive year, the Bulgarian resort is hosting the event. Pet owners from Bulgaria and abroad are expected to participate again this year. The dog show takes place at the municipal stadium in Obzor.

H8S Tournament of Glory

The final tournament of the “60 Years of Hristo Stoichkov” initiative marks the culmination of the qualifying rounds dedicated to the legendary “No. 8”’s anniversary. Kamata is celebrating his 60th birthday this year, and the initiative aims to bring together young soccer prospects in a series of qualifying rounds in various cities across the country and a final tournament in Obzor. The city stadium will host the final matches of the tournament organized by Hristo Stoichkov.

The Center's Dance Hall

Swap your flip-flops for comfortable shoes and head to the resort center. Every Thursday is special because that’s when the folk dance party takes place. This tradition has been bringing together young and old for several years now, proving that the magic of Bulgarian folklore is alive and well. Smiles light up Svoboda Square, and no experience is required to participate. Experienced dancers or beginners—everyone is welcome. It doesn’t matter if you’re a professional in folk dancing or just discovering its rhythm—join the horo.
